Privacy Policy

Fairway ("we", "us") runs a members-only golf society app. We act as the data controller for the personal data described below. To contact us about your data, open a ticket in the in-app Help tab.

• Account: email address, password (hashed), display name.
• Profile: optional home club, bio, avatar photo, handicap preference.
• Golf activity: rounds, hole-by-hole scores, events you join, invites.
• Social: posts, photos, captions, comments, reactions, notifications you receive.
• Support: messages you send through the Help tab.
• Technical: basic device / browser / IP information from server logs, kept short-term for security and debugging.

• To run your account and let you sign in.
• To show your profile, scores, handicap and posts to other Fairway members.
• To deliver event invites, chat and notifications.
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
• To respond to support requests you send us.

We rely on contract (delivering the app you signed up for), legitimate interest (keeping the service running and secure), and consent where you explicitly opt in (for example when accepting these terms at signup).

Fairway is a members-only society. Once signed in, other Fairway members can see your display name, avatar, home club, bio, posts, comments, scores and handicap. Your email address and password are never shown to other members. Nothing is exposed to the public internet: unauthenticated visitors cannot see member data.

We use Lovable Cloud (backed by Supabase, hosted in the EU) for authentication, database, storage and hosting. That is the only sub-processor that stores member data. We do not sell your data, we do not run advertising, and we do not share your data with third parties for marketing.

Your account and content are kept while your account is active. When you close your account your profile is removed and your posts are deleted or anonymised. Server logs are kept for a short period for security purposes and then rotated out.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
• delete your account and the personal data linked to it;
• export your data in a portable format;
• object to or restrict certain processing;
• complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

We only use essential cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics that track you across other sites.

If we make material changes we'll update the "Last updated" date and let members know inside the app.
